"RARE BREEDS DOG SHOW" - May 15 - Toronto

Etna a 40 cm , 13 months old female won the BEST IN BREED, even over the well trained Palermo (49 cm)
who was in a playfull mood. Cirnechi are 40 to 50 cm.
We thank the judge: Mr. Scott Johnson for his kind words for this rare and promitive breed.
Etna is hesitant at her first winning photo, she does not know what to do with the photographer
(bark at her or not?), how dare she aiming a camera at her daddy!, Cirnechi are very protective of their family.
Etna refuses to pose, strong, fearless females like her, dont do good photo models.
Etna would rather run. Etna is one of the fastest dogs I have ever encountered,
runs even faster than my faster
Italian Greyhounds!!! Cinrechi make excellent lure coursing dogs.
Palermo in all his glory at age of 13 1/2 months old. This boy once his chest will fall will look magnificent.
His coat matured nicely and his ears are exactly as Cirnecho ears should be.
He has the whole package. True houndy instincts and affectionate temperament.

The CIRNECO CLUB OF CANADA was present at the RARE BREEDS dog show in Detroit
Michigan on March 6 and 7. We had the chance to exhibit the breed to spectators, talk about it as part of their AKC recognition proccess and take questions from the people. Palermo, Etna, Sikelia were wonderfully behaved.
 
Sikelia saw FOOOOD / Etna ate already and she was in a food coma!
Both girls loved to be touched by the visitors at the Cobo Hall in Michigan.
 
PALERMO enjoys being with his daddy, wearing his new collar and jumping around.

Palermo has a permanent smile all over his face, he is a very kind dog, happy go lucky and loves people. He is very innocent and when the girls steal his food he comes to my lap. He is very sound and the breed evaluator gave him top marks in every category. He is a show dog that can go places. He has been trained and will participate in dog shows in 2010. He loves his family and plays gently with Etna and Sikelia.

Etna is very sweet girl, loves hugs, kisses, cuddling and be with her family. She is low toned but not shy or reserved.
She is a joy to have around. She loves being with her sister Sikelia and loves good food.

Sikelia is the bad cop of the 2 sisters, she is busy, loud, steals food and the boss. She likes to dominate everybody. Once I hold her in my arms she becomes a pussy-cat. She is sound and has what it takes for conformation shows as she is fearless. We thank Marina for trusting us with this show girl.

This is "Nero" from Calgary owned by Nathalie Viklund. He is a very handsome Cirneco male.

CIRNECHI can participate at the FCC (FCI rules) dog show in St Johns' at the east coast.
Cirnechi are in group 5, ancient breeds.

Palermo, Etna and Sikelia toured Canada and States during dog shows and were seen, touched admired by exhibitors, judges who had tones of questions about this new dog. Plenty of cards were given for people to read our site and the srandard of the breed.

"Etna Grecoroman" named after the volcano of Etna and "Sikelia Grecoroman" which means in Greek Sicily, came together from Finlands' Colombian friends kennel.Both have FCI registration papers. The sisters are smaller in size, one is an aplha one is not. .
Ok...one is a bitch and the other is a real bitch! :)
The adorable sisters got very good marks at their evaluation and their 2 ownes form our Cirneco club of Canada are satisfied.

"Palermo Grecoroman" arrived in Canada from Sambuka kennel from USA, his dad "Lucky" is from the Italian Kennel "Borgo di pratica". Palermo was assessed by aspecialist and got the highest marks in each category, definitely a show dog material, he is a very low maintance young boy with a permanent smile written all over his face, loves hugs and stucks on the table perfectly!
"Palermo" will go place sone day.
