Bed warmer and primitive hunter

The Cirneco is an active, ancient breed who is eager to please and loves to be alongside you at all times. Infact, he/she will be your shadow!
The Cirneco is small (can be smaller than whippets and bigger than Italian Greyhounds),
hardy (VERY HARDY BREED)
and loves to hunt- they will react when a cat or squirrel passes by.
The Cirneco is curious and playful while also being vigilant and dominant.
Cirnechi need the protection of fenced running areas. Only trained cirnechi can be trusted off leash and then only in "safe" areas far from roads and highways.
Your tone of voice and a firm NO! will quickly let your Cirneco know who is the pack leader.
The Cirneco loves nothing more than to crawl under the covers at the end of a long day.
These are extraordinarily special companions. Cirnechi are a very healthy breed.
The Cirneco is very special, there are only a handfull in Canada.
The president of the Canadain club of Cirnechi is a breeder.
More info about them on the BREED INFO page.

The Cirneco Club of Canada was formed in November 2007 by enthousiasts of the breed.
The club is now registered and our goal is to introduce the breed into the miscelaneous breeds in Canada. Our mission is to educate the Canadian public and the clubs and judges about this magnificent breed.
